Our Story
At Luebbering Shorthorn Farms, we are a sixth-generation family farm led by George Luebbering, who brings years of experience and a deep commitment to animal nutrition. Before transitioning to raising beef cattle, George was a dairy farmer, where he developed a profound understanding of animal care, nutrition, and the importance of sustainable farming methods. Today, we continue that legacy with a focus on raising Shorthorn cattle, known for their exceptional marbling that competes with some of the best breeds like Angus and Wagyu.
We believe that great beef starts with healthy, well-cared-for animals. That’s why we prioritize the nutrition and well-being of our cattle over the industrialized, cost-cutting methods often seen in commercial feedlots. Our steers are raised with access to both pasture and hay and are fed a carefully balanced diet, most of which is grown right here on our farm or sourced locally. This approach ensures that the beef we provide is not only tender and flavorful but also ethically raised and free from added hormones or antibiotics.
